The line portrays the Beloved awakening what has become dormant within the seeker. The "sleeping waters" symbolize dormant consciousness, love, and spiritual sensitivity. The Beloved stirs them awake, questioning why one should remain asleep when the season of Divine love has arrived. As in many of Baba Ji's talks, love itself becomes the call to awaken from spiritual sleep and become alive to the Beloved's presence.
